For the sake of FOOD LUST we went somewhere outside ZAMBALES!
Our driver (forgive me miss Maech! - shes a REGISTERED PHARMACIST) YES I WOULD LIKE TO START FEATURING THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DRIVER THAT WAS SOO GOOD AT DIRECTIONS - we got lost HAHA!
Thanks to NANENG's GPS APP and g'Chen's VIGILANT EYES - both REGISTERED NURSES! We managed to get to the place...
ISDAAN TARLAC - the floating restaurant surrounded by giant statues of BUDDHAS, CARPS AND CARTOON CHARACTERS. The main attraction was the FLOATING DINE-IN NIPA HUTS that were kinda quaking when someone walks along the connecting bamboo bridges above the water. It is located at Gerona, Tarlac.
The food was great! A little bit pricey but worth it! They served a BOODLE FIGHT kinda food presentation. There were fried "pinaputok na tilapia" , spicy vegetable salad, "binagoongan pork", "lumpiang sariwa", "pancit guisado" "sinigang sa miso soup" , "buko juice" and "sago't gulaman" for the drinks ... Very much AUTHENTIC FILIPINO DISHES. YUMMMMMMMMMMMEEEH! **ping ping ping!
While eating we were serenaded by the "SINGING WAITERS and COOKS"! Also there is a somewhat stage like spot in the center of the floating restaurant where different entertaining acts were presented like circus, dancers and singers... Plus anyone is also invited to sing at the stage. There were also cooks showing off their talents like flipping and dicing different kinda' stuff lol.
After eating we walked around the place to try some activities and took some pictures with the GIANTS, statues of famous personalities like the late President CORY AQUINO and fish ponds!
Another main featured activity was the TAKSYAPO ( which is a "kapampangan curse word I GUESS? ) ... The activity is for relieving anger and stress by throwing and wrecking different things from little glasswares to huge tv sets at the wall which has different target signs of emotions and acts. I enjoyed a lot! STRESS AND ANGER RELEASED!
WE bought some souvenirs for "pasalubong". WE WENT HOME WITH A HAPPY TUMMY.
